Hotel Description:
- A visitor to the Park Central today will be struck by the casual sense of sophistication that is pervasive throughout the hotel from the pastel- colored art deco facade to the antique black and white photographic prints that fill the hallways and comfortable guest rooms and suites. Each is furnished with original design period furniture, mahogany ceiling fans and large windows with sheer white curtains that let the ocean breezes circulate. The rooms are fully air-conditioned and equipped with cable television, refrigerators, safes and international direct-dial telephones. Facilities include a guest service desk with fax and copy services, in- room computer data port, voice mail, parking, meeting facilities, laundry and valet service, a fitness studio, rooftop sun deck and swimming pool, making the Park Central the only full-service Art Deco hotel on Ocean Drive.
In addition, hotel guests are provided with twice-daily maid service including nightly turndown and room service.
The Park Central was recently selected by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as on of the "Historic Hotels of America." The hotel is now one of 125 such hotels in the US which are recognized for their top- quality facilities that preserve and maintain their historic architecture and ambiance.
